Ecclesiastes 7:10 "Say not, 'Why were the former days better than these?' For it is not from wisdom that you ask this."
Soar! In 66 days
Ecclesiastes 7:10: "Say not, 'Why were the former days better than these?' For it is not from wisdom that you ask this." We all have memories that we want to hold onto forever – maybe it's a memory of a first love, or of careless youthfulness. While these memories are certainly a blessing, we must be careful not to become too attached. When tribulation strikes, we must learn to be content. We cherish the good as much as possible. But even in the bad, we must not long for the past. We must rise past that longing, trusting that God has us right where we're meant to be.
Write down one of your Memories that you need to better with.

Faith In Action: Get a Jar. You can use the Gratitude Jar from Day 03. Create New Memories today by doing something for yourself or other that bring you joy. Now drop that memory in the jar. Over the next 66 days drop moments that make you feel engaged, joyful, amazed, motivated and connected in the jar, whenever anything happens that makes you proud, write it down, and put it in the jar. It doesn't matter how big, small or personal… all that matters is that it's yours! And when you empty it at the end of the 66 Days, you will remember all the awesome things that God has done in your life.

This week, we'll be transitioning into the idea of rising in it. This idea involves the difficult truth that more often than not, there are things that we can't change. Sometimes, there may not be a way out. But that doesn't mean that we can't soar. In fact, our darkest days can even strengthen our faith in God. It is in these moments that we learn to place all our hope in Christ.

Last week we talked about what it truly means to "rise past" the things we face. We talked about how we must look beyond our present troubles and our past hurts in order to grow spiritually. Now we must dive deeper into how we can actually practice this in our own lives. After all, letting go of our burdens is far easier said than done. So how, then, should we approach them?
