James 4:7: "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Accepting Christ as Savior doesn't mean that we somehow become immune to the temptations of sin. But it does mean that when we wrestle with these temptations, we have the ability to resist and overcome them, in the name of Jesus. The longer we walk with God, the more we learn to walk in His ways and not our own. We may struggle with sin, but we can rise past them, knowing that no matter the outcome of each battle, our God has already won the war.
Write down one of the Sins that you struggle with and the temporary feeling that you feel.

Faith In Action: Resist temptations by doing something different. The root of sin is selfishness. It is based on what you want to do(selfishness). It's nothing wrong with wanting things, but you can't get ahead of God. So lets crippled selfish today by doing self-less deeds in areas we usually don't do.
1). Give $5 to a stranger that could be in need.
2). Pay for the next person in the Drive-Thru line meal (limit $15).
3). Take 15-30 minutes out of your day and call a senior and listen to their story.
4). Give a rude person a free pass today without going off.
5). Schedule to do a deed for someone else later in the week that you wouldn't usually do.
Do as many as you can or make up your own. ((Remeber the goal today is resisting sin and doing self-less deeds!)).
