Matthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." There are so many things to worry about " between finances, relationships, family, and countless other things, it's no wonder that so many people center their lives around worrying. But here, Jesus is urging us not to chase after all these earthly things. It's not that these things are bad " they are simply secondary to the purpose God has for us. He knows exactly what we need, and He will supply those needs " we just have to rise past our worries and pursue Him first.

Faith-In-Action:
Block out distractions... Evaluate what is distracting you from focusing on God. Ask yourself which aspects of your life are pulling you farther away from trusting God. External pressures and responsibilities, such as work, school, and relationships, are common distractions. When we know who God is, and genuinely believe we are in His hands, we are, as David said, "not shaken" (Psalm 62:5).
I like the illustration of flying in an airplane. When you merely know that the aircraft will get you from point A to point B, you don't really worry when you hit a rough patch. You know it's just momentary turbulence, a spot that comes and goes. However, if you doubt the skill of the pilot, you might see that turbulence as a sign that any second you're going to crash.
We can choose if we will believe in God's character and trust He will take care of us. And if we do, our problems can be seen as little turbulence on the way to His destination. Remove the distraction that that are fueling your worries by spending some time in prayer today.
