Soar! In 66 days
Proverbs 10:28: "The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish." What do you expect from life? Happiness? True love? Security? While these are all good things to hope for, the truth is that we are not guaranteed any of these. We can become so set in our expectations that when God presents us with a different path, we automatically close off our hearts. Sometimes, God works in ways that we don't always expect. But life's greatest blessings are often those that we least expect. When we rise past our expectations, we can fully embrace the awesome surprises of God's will for us.

Managing Your Own Expectations
Once we understand that our own expectations are nothing more than our best guesses sculpted into theory. These best guesses are really- at their core- our deeply held opinions mixed up with a big dash of hope. But we don't need to fall prey to them!
Go Beyond your comfort zone and empty the cup.
You should come to every situation with an empty cup, ready to receive. If our cup is full, then you have no place to put what is happening to you. Emptying our cup, we release our expectation and "Trust" God's plan for your life. This helps us remove our tendency to interject our selfishness into a situation, and also deflects our tendency to control.
