Proverbs 19:21: "Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand." It's in our nature to want to take control of our own lives. But more often than not, we are not in control of the situations we face. When we come to these points, we have to surrender our right to be in charge. We have to rise past that right and give it to God – a right that was His, to begin with. He alone is in control, and that's a good thing. After all, He knows what is best for us.

Faith-In-Action:
Learn to Appreciate Uncertainty:
Understand the power of uncertainty when God is in control. Sometimes you don't want to deal with the unknown—you want to check all of your boxes and follow all of the right steps so that everything goes according to plan.
But, no matter how often you dole out detailed instructions or obsessively color-code your inbox, life still has a way of throwing you curveballs—both professionally and personally. And, guess what? Those curveballs aren't always bad. In some cases, they can actually be pretty great.
Yes, you may have spent tons of time agonizing over the perfect five-year plan, but you're still never guaranteed to know what's coming next. So, try your best to be flexible and roll with "all things can work together".
Today stop trying to control external things and people. Today focus on controlling yourself and internal impulses by being sober-minded in your thinking and keeping your eyes an hearts fixed on eternal matters.
