Soar! In 66 days
Psalm 34:18: "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." We live in an age where mental health is a serious concern. Now more than ever, people are suffering from conditions such as depression, without any form of support. While faith in Christ may not make your illness disappear overnight, He can give you strength and reassurance when you have none. Jesus was well-acquainted with sorrow; He knows your pain, and yet He knows that there is unspeakable joy ahead for those who believe. Let Him share your burden. When dark thoughts keep dragging you down, He alone can help you to rise.
Write down one of your thoughts or feelings that arise when it comes to dealing with depression/anxiety.

Faith-In-Action:
Being depressed can make you feel helpless. You're not. There's a lot you can do on your own to fight back. Changing your behavior -- your physical activity, lifestyle, and even your way of thinking -- are ways to rise in the midst of depression.
Here three skills that you can do today to help you get through depression.
-
Get in a routine. If you're depressed, you need a routine, Depression can strip away the structure from your life. One day melts into the next. Setting a daily schedule can help you get back on track.
-
Set goals. When you're depressed, you may feel like you can't accomplish anything. That makes you feel worse about yourself. To push back, set daily goals for yourself.
-
Seek God for strength. He can give you power and reassurance when you have none.
