Isaiah 40:29: "He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength."
Soar! In 66 days
Isaiah 40:29: "He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength." The older we get, the more tired we become. When it comes down to it, life is truly exhausting. We try to be the best worker, the best spouse, the best parent, the best friend, the best Christian. Sometimes we just need to step back and rest in the peace of Christ. He has blessed us with so much, and often we are simply too busy to enjoy it. When we renew our souls in Him, we can rise even when our bodies are on the verge of collapse.

Sometimes, because a battle we are facing is taking longer than we thought, we become weary. When the difficulty is lasting longer than expected, when you're working hard but not seeing an increase, weariness will come. If the enemy can't take you out all at once, his next strategy is to try to wear you down. Many people are suffering from battle fatigue. They've been standing a long time, trying to break the addiction, believing for the promotion, praying for that family member, but it hasn't happened yet.
Don't be weary in well doing. It doesn't seem like it's making a difference. Let me encourage you that your time is coming. Your due season is on the way. Don't let time talk you out of it. Don't let discouragement cause you to give up. Don't let negative thoughts convince you to settle where you are.
Your mind will give you good excuses. So on today remove any excuses in the area of your life where you feel weary.

This week, we'll be transitioning into the idea of rising in it. This idea involves the difficult truth that more often than not, there are things that we can't change. Sometimes, there may not be a way out. But that doesn't mean that we can't soar. In fact, our darkest days can even strengthen our faith in God. It is in these moments that we learn to place all our hope in Christ.

Last week we talked about what it truly means to "rise past" the things we face. We talked about how we must look beyond our present troubles and our past hurts in order to grow spiritually. Now we must dive deeper into how we can actually practice this in our own lives. After all, letting go of our burdens is far easier said than done. So how, then, should we approach them?
