Romans 12:2: "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Have you ever heard the phrase "be in the world, but not of it"? Not all aspects of culture are sinful; things like food and fashion reflect the beauty of diversity. But when it comes to morals, God challenges us to be transformed and set apart. We should always rejoice in our salvation so that rising in the midst of culture is a display of pride in God's work.

Today, our focus is going to be on rising past the obstacles in our lives. As we go through life, there will always be something that stands between us and God. Maybe that "something" is anger.
