Rise! In 66 days
1 Corinthians 10:31: "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." On a given day, most of us are not drastically changing the world. Most of us spend our time going to work, caring for our families, and managing our homes. So how can we glorify God when we're stuck in the confines of our everyday lives? This verse reminds us that we can do anything to the glory of God, as long as our heart is set on worshipping Him. We can rise above the mundane, knowing that even our daily chores can reflect our faith in Christ.

Faith-In-Action:
The miracle cure for the mundane is being grounded in gratitude. When you find yourselves wrestling with impatience or seeming insignificance, the fix to feeling calm is to appreciate the here and now. On today create space in your life for the extraordinary, even if it is only 15-minute meditation with God. Rise above the daily mundane tasks. ( Paying bills, never-ending housework, making meals, wiping noses, changing diapers)

This week, we'll be transitioning into the idea of rising in it. This idea involves the difficult truth that more often than not, there are things that we can't change. Sometimes, there may not be a way out. But that doesn't mean that we can't soar. In fact, our darkest days can even strengthen our faith in God. It is in these moments that we learn to place all our hope in Christ.

Last week we talked about what it truly means to "rise past" the things we face. We talked about how we must look beyond our present troubles and our past hurts in order to grow spiritually. Now we must dive deeper into how we can actually practice this in our own lives. After all, letting go of our burdens is far easier said than done. So how, then, should we approach them?
