Rise! In 66 days
Job 15:31: "Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself, for emptiness will be his payment." Setting goals in this life can be a great thing, whether those goals pertain to work, to health, or to relationships. We should always seek to use what God has given us to reach our fullest potential. But in the midst of these pursuits, we must remember that our ultimate goal is to glorify God. The eternal reward for following Christ is much greater than any success we could obtain in this life. When we rise above our worldly aspirations, we can better strive for spiritual ones.

Faith-In-Action:
Worldly success is built around the obtaining of tangible goods, assets, money, fame and popularity. There is nothing wrong with obtaining these things BUT when you obtain these things VOID of God it will cause you tremendous harm. This is how most people become CONFUSE about the term "success" because God said that He will give you these things but just because God said that He will give you these things it does not mean that this is the definition of success.

Sometimes, there may not be a way out. But that doesn't mean that we can't soar. In fact, our darkest days can even strengthen our faith in God. It is in these moments that we learn to place all our hope in Christ.

Last week we talked about what it truly means to "rise past" the things we face. We talked about how we must look beyond our present troubles and our past hurts in order to grow spiritually. Now we must dive deeper into how we can actually practice this in our own lives. After all, letting go of our burdens is far easier said than done. So how, then, should we approach them?
