John 14:15: ""If you love me, you will keep my commandments."
Soar! In 66 days
John 14:15: ""If you love me, you will keep my commandments." All of us are born with a tendency to rebel against God. By nature, we are tempted to choose the fleeting, sinful desires that are contrary to God's will. The good news is that the deeper we grow in our relationship with Jesus, the more we will desire to obey Him. We will strive to do His will, not out of fear, but out of love. As we grow to love Him more and more, we will rise above our disobedient hearts and cherish the righteous ways of God above all else.
What stops us from obeying God?

Faith-In-Action:
We need to do is abide in Christ, maintain our first love for Him, and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and we will be in the will of God. So as you continue to walk in the Spirit, He will guide you in making the most important decisions of life. He will also guide you in the daily, moment-by-moment choices and actions of your life.
Speaking of the Holy Spirit, Jesus says, "When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth...and he will tell you what is yet to come" (John 16:13). So the key to knowing God's will is to be obedient to the guidance of the Holy Spirit of truth. If you are willing to trust and obey God and live a holy life, God will reveal Himself to you and direct your steps as a way of life.

This week, we'll be transitioning into the idea of rising in it. This idea involves the difficult truth that more often than not, there are things that we can't change. Sometimes, there may not be a way out. But that doesn't mean that we can't soar. In fact, our darkest days can even strengthen our faith in God. It is in these moments that we learn to place all our hope in Christ.

Last week we talked about what it truly means to "rise past" the things we face. We talked about how we must look beyond our present troubles and our past hurts in order to grow spiritually. Now we must dive deeper into how we can actually practice this in our own lives. After all, letting go of our burdens is far easier said than done. So how, then, should we approach them?
