1 Peter 5:8: "Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." This world is full of lies – lies about our self-worth, lies about happiness, and even lies about right and wrong. All of these lies ultimately come from Satan, who seeks to deceive us into forsaking God's truth. If we're not careful, we can unknowingly fall into these dangerous traps. 1 Peter instructs us to rise above the lies of the enemy, clinging tight to the Word of God. For when we do, the light will always outshine the darkness
What are some of the lies that have been told on you or What lies have you believed at one point?

Faith-In-Action:
Satan, our archenemy, delights in diminishing God's purpose for our lives. Forces of darkness lurk in the shadows, whispering their lies, laying in wait for opportunities to rob men and women, boys and girls, of the freedom they can have in Christ.
Who told you that! On today let your character rise above whatever lies that were spoken over your life. Every biblical champion consistently moved from one crisis to another. How you understand, view, and deal with your lies will make or break you. It will establish your future. Your promotion is waiting, but it will not come until you choose to Rise and be the champion God has made you.

This week, we'll be transitioning into the idea of rising in it. This idea involves the difficult truth that more often than not, there are things that we can't change. Sometimes, there may not be a way out. But that doesn't mean that we can't soar. In fact, our darkest days can even strengthen our faith in God. It is in these moments that we learn to place all our hope in Christ.

Last week we talked about what it truly means to "rise past" the things we face. We talked about how we must look beyond our present troubles and our past hurts in order to grow spiritually. Now we must dive deeper into how we can actually practice this in our own lives. After all, letting go of our burdens is far easier said than done. So how, then, should we approach them?
